Tomato hornworm

Found this 3 inch hornworm today.no wasp egs so its history

I just found one tonight too! About the same size, but with a big red horn-like thing on the head It got tossed into the weird neighbor's yard, wasn't meaning too though

I am not really sure what a hornworm is... but it is GROSS!

Found a second one today- it's completely covered in wasp eggs so I'm leaving it alone. It hasn't moved or munched all day

Gross, I got shivers from just thinking about that worm.
I remember this crazy gardner from my childhood told me that wasps, and yellowjackets help pollinate. I guess its true because I see them all the time in the garden, stopping to smell the blooms.

I picked off 3 more last night, and another this morning
The one with all the eggs is still in the same spot, and the white egg things are wiggling. Cool and gross at the same time LOL!
I think next year I am going to plant my tomatoes in a different part of the yard...

I found a 4 inch worm last night. If i recall right the eggs of the hornworm are laid by a beautiful butterfly.Will look the facts later.
