Hi just joined a few days ago and I already love this gardening club, you get to meet gardeners from all over the place, it's nice to share tips and info with others. I am especially interested in meeting gardeners in Florida, I don't know about anywhere else but we have (as I like to say) army bugs from hell, they never seem to go away, this sub tropical climate does'nt get cold long enough to kill any of them off so they just keep on coming. I've been gardening for about 10 years and have used different chemical pestesides but because of the health problems they cause I've decided to try organic gardening and I must say that it is more difficult than the traditional method. I am sure though that I will meet other gardeners who are faced with the same challenges as I am and we'll be able to help each other.

Welcome to Garden Guides. We have a few Floridians that are fighting the same woes. I hope that all of you can get together to fight the little monsters without polluting the environment and enjoy your gardens and flowers.

Welcome floridagirl, from a fellow organic gardener in NC. Check out the organic gardening thread, and also the pest control thread, where there's a lot of comments and shared experienced for us tree-hugger types. Happy gardening!
