Someone said to me the centipede may have been dieing that's why I was able to take a picture & able to sweep it out.

Second centipede in my life time which took me by surprise! The first did make me do "the" dance. LOL, i think I wrote about the first one too, here at GG. Don't remember.

I'm not down with those things. Once I was in Hawaii and was awakened in the middle of the night, by a HUGE Hawaiian centipede biting my leg, in my bed, under the covers with me. I nearly died and couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. My god. They creep me out.

I did 'the dance' when I headed down to the basement. Ran up the stairs and banged the door shut. Those are the most disgusting bugs I have ever seen! I don't know what they are but they are at my aunt and uncles house. Thank goodness I haven't seen them in our new house!

wow aimee i'm sorry .

Gwen yours is a centipede too. I think the only thing we can do is be careful and learn about them and other pests? Poison wont kill them all this I'm sure of.

I'm getting used to looking into my shoes, before I put them on, just in case there is something in them.

We have a lot of red ants too! I look in front of me when I walk. I don't stand in one place until I inspect the area for ants first. It took a second for an ant to bite me when I pulled out a single weed. They get real wild when I water planters. Ant farms look so different in this area, you can barely see them.

Anyway, I'm learning a lot about insects since we moved to our new place. I have to because I'm seeing insects I've never seen before.
