Planted morning glories along fence earlier this spring. Have large thick leaves virtually covering the fence - 12'long x 4 feet high - not a flower? Any idea why? Suggestions? Have watered regularily.
Thanks,
Chris.

From what I understand, MG's won't start blooming until around now. You can try fertilizing with a "Bloom Booster" type of fertilizer- something that has high P and K numbers, or triple phosphate. That should help the plant to produce buds and flowers

Welcome to GardenGuides, Chris.

My pink Morning Glories have just started blooming in the last week so your vines shouldn't be far behind. I think they are classified as mid-summer\fall bloomers.

Too much nitrogen will give you plenty of leaves, but few flowers, but morning glories are just beginning to bloom now.

My morning glories are just budding now, anyway I'm pretty sure they're buds. I'm nearly holding my breath until the first one bursts into bloom.

It's been almost 10 years since the last time I grew MG's and it was in the high desert where they bloom a bit earlier, as I recall.

My boss planted MG way back in May from seeds she got from me. They are in a planter outside the bakery that she owns. She put four different ones in the wine barrel planter. One started to bloom early September and the one other one took a few more weeks to bloom. If I remember to take pictures of them today I will post them for they are very pretty.
My MG have been blooming since mid August and the plants are just volunteers from last year. I have had frost a couple of times now so my MG are almost finished.

Sorry I did not get any pictures posted. I forgot my camera everytime I went to work. I will try to remember on Monday and hopefully the Morning Glory is still doing it's thing.
