Look at this photo and think about snow. This might help. Ran across photo. Of course it helps if the air is also running. Won't be long. Attachments: ![]() |

Snow?? Last snow here was 21 years ago. It snowed enough to scrape snow off the car and make a hood ornament. NO SNOW FOR ME, PLEASE! |

Ahhhh...that looks so, well, cool! I love snow and wish we had more of it around here than the ice storms we occasionally get. Our central heat/air conditioning fritzed early on this summer and we've been making do with a lone window unit, ceiling fans, and living only in a small part of the house until we save up enough money to replace the unit. I think COOL and swear it helps. My husband says I'm crazy but he's the one sitting there sweating! |

We so rarely get snow here- a quarter inch closes schools and businesses for 2 days LOL! It does help to mentally keep yourself cool though! I needed that- it's 94 with a heat index of 102 right now. It wasn't supposed to even hit 90 today!

I was just talking with one of my friends last night, we were counting the days til fall/winter gets here !! I LOVE it !!! I just love the snow- I love going out for a walk the evening it snows, everything is so quiet and peaceful and BEAUTIFUL. It covers up all the ugliness in the world. |

I love the fall, too. The colors of fall inspire me. That dusting of snow is so pretty. |

Funny ...scroll back a couple of months and everyone is complaining about the cold, wet and miserable weather. Enjoy what you can of the summer I have to wait until evening time to do any yardwork at all. Yesterdays temp went to 115! But otherwise I can get a lot of needed work done with clear weather.

I love all four seasons. It helps to live in a place where the weather is almost never severe! In the Summer we get mild heat - 90 is considered extreme. In the Winter, an occasional morning in the single digits, and once in a while more than six inches of snow. Fall and Spring, our mountains are teeming with tourists enjoying the beauty of our Fall colors and Spring wildflowers. As a gardener, early Fall is a sad time, shutting down (most of) the garden, prepping the beds for the next growing season. Digging up my Babies (you know, the Elephant Ears!). Winter is a time of waiting, impatiently waiting for that first chance to dig, come next Spring. Summer is hot, but the rewards far outweigh the discomfort. After the sun is down and my work for the day is done, I lay in bed listening to the whirring of the fan overhead and feel the cooling breeze on my skin, and give thanks for the blessings of Summer. I am so thankful to be living this life, right where I am! |
