Here I go again making simple, affordable greenhouses. This time this one will be very nice. My other two made out of those bags you get pillows and sheets in were great. The redwoods are getting too big for them though. It is time to upgrade. i am making a new BIGGER greenhouse out of these materials: (1) Hot Glue Gun (30) Hot Glue Gun sticks (6) 2inch by 2inch by 8foot pieces of wood (3) rolls of plastic wrap (2) hinges for doors (6) screws (1) saw It all wound up to be about $30 dollars, give or take. I will show you pictures in a few hours when I finish it. right now I have these few pictures of the top hatch. Oh and by the way thats my French bulldog, for reference? I dont know he just walked in the way. =) Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Im planning on building something very similar, but I want to keep it outside 24/7. Im definitely going with a wood frame, the exterior is where Im mixed up. I wanted plexi-glass, but discovered that it is far too expensive.. |

Dame- those poly panels are expensive! You can get much less expensive 4-6 mil thick poly sheeting instead. I'm thinking of waiting another year to build my greenhouse- hopefully then we will be able to afford the panels- I think they will hold up to hurricane force wind much better than the sheeting. I had done an estimate to build a 6ft x 12ft x 7-1/2ft tall greenhouse with the panels- over $600!!! Decided to re-install the patio first LOL! |
