I planted morning glories in a container, the weather here on the outer banks can be anything from breeze to hurrincane in summer. Plant is 20 ft. tall but no blooms, i have to water every other day, is it a problem with fertilizer or size of container. Please help. May not be a problem after this storm (Cristobal) this weekend.

Seeing your screenname I just knew you lived somewhere in the Outer Banks
If they are in a container I would fertilize them with something with high P and K numbers, but low N. Container plants need fed far more often than planted in the ground plants, even those that really don't need fed such as morning glories
I'm keeping my eye out on Cristobal (sp?) too- I live in Chesapeake VA, the SE corner of VA.

Have a little patience, mine have just started blooming in the last few days. I was about ready to pull them out, thinking they weren't going to bloom. Now they are trying to choke my Joe Pye Weed to death.

Mine haven't started blooming yet, either. It's usually in August in my area.

Be patient - methinks too that it is a bit early, though one of my many volunteers has volunteered some blooms already!
