Hi all, I'm a newbie to the forum and, as you'll see from my username, I'll be needing a lot of advice.
First things first though - I've recently planted Morning Glory in quite a large pot and put a trellis for it to climb. What I'm not sure about is when it's likely to flower. Got loads of leaves which appear to be getting munched on by I don't know what but no flowers. According to stuff I've read on the net it should have started flowering by now -

WE don't think you're useless! First off, what zone are you in? Not sure where Meath is? It takes awhile for morning glories to flower, and if you're growing them in a pot, make sure to water well.
We've ALL been where you are (a lot of us still are) but you are doing the right thing ~ experiment, experiment, ask and ask. Yes, you will make mistakes, but that's how we all learn. Your successes will make it fun and addictive!
Edited to add ~ and once you're here for awhile, put your posts in the forum that is most likely to fit your question. That way, the right helpers will see them sooner.

Hi Key Wee,

Thanks so much for answering. When you are new to these forums you're never really sure at first if anyone actually replies to you. Meath is in Southern Ireland (Eire)so things probably flower differently here to where you are because of the time and season differences. I'll keep plugging on and see what happens.

As Key said- experiment! Also, don't be afraid to do something different than what the tag says either- plants are individuals too, and some like more sun or more shade, more or less water, etc., than what their species/hybrid in general likes
Here's some advice that I need to follow more often- WRITE down what works and what doesn't, easier to remember for next year, and is useful for other gardeners as well

I agree with all of the above, and if you hang around these gardeners enough you will be changing your handle.
