it's coming up on blueberry season here in MI so i thought i'd post this recipe. it's one of my family and friend's fav's...i've gotten a couple of marriage proposals out of this one too, LOL! anyway-

1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup butter (real butter works best)
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups fresh blueberries
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, softened

preheat the oven to 375 degrees. grease an 8x8 pan. make the topping by mixing 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, cinnamon, and 1/4 cup of softened butter together with a pastry blender or food processor. set aside. Cream butter and sugar, and egg together. mix remaining dry ingredients together in a separate bowl and add to the creamed mixture. only mix to combine, stirring it too much will make it tough. gently fold in blueberries. pour into greased pan (it will be very thick) and top with reserved topping. bake for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
this is good warm, but better the next day

I used to make this a lot and could probably have eaten a whole pan of it. I think my recipe was in the Betty Crocker cookbook. The red and white checkered one anyways.

Good stuff! When can I come up for some? lol

That sounds so delicious. I'm going to have to try that. Hey, I bet we are practically neighbors, I'm also from SE Michigan.
