I thought it would be fun to if we shared what we thought of the new annuals we planted this year My faves this year: Four-O'Clocks- great germination rate, wonderful blooms in both full-sun and full-shade Tithonia: Wonderful germination rates, slow to bloom but beautiful in bloom My disapointments: Nasturtiums- decent germination, Low survival, few blooms Gazania- low germination, little growth, few and disappointing blooms. My So-So's: Painted Lady ornamental beans- wonderful germination, vigorous growth, pretty blooms but not the number I was hoping for, no bean yield. Italian White Sunflowers: poor germination, small blooms What I'll try again next year: painted lady, four-o'clocks, tithonia, gazania in pots this time. |

Nasturtiums like bad soil. The worse the soil the more blooms you'll get. The darn Voles have cut off about 1/2 of mine. Grrrrrr! I had tithonia outside my store last year. In fall it was covered with monarchs! Attachments: ![]() |
