I have lillies in a full sun garden but the deer have been eating them. I want to know if I could move them to a partial shade garden without doing any harm. |

They won't bloom as well. I have some in partial shade. They throw up a blossom here and there. |

Lillies tend to like the sun.. but have you tried sprinkling some cayene pepper on the lillies to see if it would deter the deer? They might not like the hot pepper taste? I do that to help keep the bunnies away from my garden.. of course I have to reapply after each rain and off and on thru the season. |

Depends on the lily, doesn't it chatty? Daylilies are sun baskers, but others (Turk's caps are my faves!) like dappled shade. |

day lily or oriental ? While they are best in sun my mom garden has become very shaded ofer the years and her day lilies are still beautiful and I have some oriental lilies that are the same way. some blooms are better than no blooms if the deer are eating them. |

I have daylilies in an area that gets direct sunlight for a few hours of the day and is in partial shade for the remainder. They bloom very well. |
