This is my first Giant Swallowtail this year. We have had several black swallowtails and a couple of tigers, but this guy is huge, about 5 inches across.

hey john

citrus family plants are the larval host for the giant swallowtail. some easy things for you to grow in your garden for the giant swallowtail larva would be rue (ruta graveolens) and wafer ash (ptelia trifoliata).

the larva are so cool....they look like big bird droppings.
