Ok, so can I just vent a little!? I just got off a two-week stint running the practice where I work by myself. We are a two and a half doctor practice mind you, the 1/2 was on vacation and the second went on unexpected medical leave for two weeks. This means I handled all appointments, in house cases and phone calls by myself for 2 weeks - 5 1/2 days, 11 hours/day. Well, actually, more like 12-13 hours/day by the time I headed home. I'm beat. And I have to admit, by the middle of the second week, when the "i gotta come in right now" calls came in, I was not such a pretty sight! I kept thinking that all the emergencies were a fluke, that it would calm down for a few days, but boy was I wrong!!! My staff is owed a commendation for sticking with my occasional rants. And now my husband (who admittedly looked after me for these two weeks) went off to his family's camp tonight, and I am just sitting here feeling sorry for my self. And I don't like whiners!! Anyway, I just needed to commisserate with someone.

Do you think you would have time to look at my sons dog? She has a bulge in her stomach area where she was fixed a few years ago.....Ok so your office is a little distance from my house. We will take her to our vet this coming week.Sit back and relax! Have a good weekend. Pete |

I thought it was bad this week for myself and one other worker..while three people and our manager were out !! You most certainly deserve to yell and stomp your feet and then put your feet up and chill by a pool or go get a massage something! Wow!! kudo's to you!!

Next time yell sooner. My hubby works in a doctor's clinic. He is I.T. but I am sure there is at least ONE doctor he wouldn't mind sending you for a week or two. LOL

Oh, boy. I bet you are pooped. As they say, When it rains it pours. Troubles, that is. Rain? We don't get so much of that--just problems at the worst possible time. Hang in there. |

Karslinky, animals everywhere (and their owners) thank you for your dedication. Now get some much needed rest. Go play in your garden. |

As a pet owner, let me say thanks to all you vets for your dedication. It seems like pets get sick all of a sudden, probably because they haven't been able to tell you that they are not feeling so good. Anyway, I hope you have a better week this week and don't hesitate to leave your partners alone in the office when you have the opportunity. |
