I recently had some construction and the workman mashed down my holly fern.
My handyman cut it back, It is yellow right now. What are the chances that
it will grow back?
Any input will be appreciated.

Don't you just love the carelessness of construction workers (or husbands for that matter)
It should come back just fine.
My husband smashed one of my ostrich ferns the other year, and it's doing fine.

My grandmother had them planted next to her house in the flower bed. Dogs and cats, and all the country wildlife (coons, skunks, possums, armadillos, etc) would run through them and they always came back. They're pretty hardy.
