Hi, Thanks. I did a search for the goatbeard and it has pointer leaves. This plant has roundish leaves and frilly puffy like things on it.

Could it be Chionanthus virginicus Old Man's Beard just beginning to flower?

HI, I took a closer shot of one of the puffy things on this plant this morning. What ever it is it's pretty cool. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Small volunteers of the American Smoketree is my guess. Try Cotinus obovatus.

Thanks Evonne, I did some image searchs with the info you gave and I'd say positively that it is a Smoke Tree. Thank you very much! It's great that it just grew ther on it's own. Its got a bunch of smaller ones growing around it. I think I'll try to move a few of them around the yard.
