I grow most of my veggies in the back garden. Now that it's July you can barely tell there's four raised beds in this jungle. Foreground, top of driveway, upper pond, daylilies on the right, next to my car. Then down below, at the edge of the lower pond are yellow flag irises, and in the pond is aquatic grass and horsetails. Beyond the pond, from left: morning glories (way back at the edge of the wall), rose scented geraniums, poblano peppers, sweet peppers, better boy tomato, carrots, leeks and chard behind the irises, then more carrots and my cherry tomato. Behind the cherry tomato on the right you can see my borage in bloom, then working left you can see marigolds peeking through, a great big burdock in front of the eggplants, and to the left of the eggplants a few bush beans and my mammoth gargantuan behemoth zucchini.

You can hardly see the back bed, which is now 2/3 covered in carrot seedlings. The other third is collards and kale, now on their last legs in the heat and dryness.

The second and third photos show my driveway veggies, honeydew melons and acorn squash. The acorn squash are just beginning to have little fruits, but the melons are almost ripe! Last is my long front bed, full of watermelon, cucumber, and sweet potato vines, with a couple of swiss chard at the fore and my early tomato bringing up the rear.

Boy, you sure can grow some THINGS! I wonder. Is it you? Your expertise? Or the wonderful mountain weather? I am certainly impressed.
