Hello all, I just started gardening this season. It is now as big of a part of my life as lifting wieghts and fishing. I just love spending time outside in my garden. As my name implies, I have no problem killing earwigs. They have became the number one enemy of all the peppers, mint, thyme, and radishes. I had to bust out the big guns; namely soap spray(dish soap and H2O), and diatomaceous earth around the plants, on the plants, and around the perimeter.

Hope to spend a lot of the hot days of summer on this site.

Hey there EK, I do not like even the sound of that pests name. Don't want anyting that crawls close to my ears. Had a friend that when he was a boy in the country got up one morning complaining he had a 'bug' in his ear. Guess he could hear it. No it was not an earwig but a moth had climbed in there during the night. Just the though gives me a shiver.

YUCK! Welcome to Garden Guides, Linda B from SC

Sorry it took me so long to reply to you all. Thanks for the warm welcome. And to answer your question Stereoman, I think Earwigkiller or EK.

PS-The moth in the ear story was pretty gnarly.

Welcome to GG, EK, I am there, so there, just had one on my balcony last night and squished it then started moving EVERYTHING since I know they are not usually alone. Luckily this one was.

The moth...I am going to have SUCH nightmares!
