It's getting big in there with my pinks so I guess it's time to find out what it is...LOL!

I have no idea other than it looks a little like Virginia copperleaf, and it looks "weedy"

That would be what we call pig weed here in NE. Amaranthus species. I'd pull it! Hope this helps!

I'd never heard a name for it, Kate, but I get a lot of it too. I find it's easy to pull when it's about 2-3 inches tall, but not before or after.

Is it one of the varieties of "plantain" a common garden weed? If it is, it is (lol must be late)then useful for bites and stings.

Thanks everyone. The stem was different from the one I had 2 years ago so I didn't think it was pigweed.

I am not sure if this is settled or not, but it looks like pigweed to me too.
