We built this about 5 years ago for something to look at instead of the retaining wall behind it.It took about a month to compleat in time for summer partys and we love it. We haver 2 types of clamatis or the left side and have yet to find the right plants for the other side. We used a form and made our own pavers and you cant see it well but there is a cross shape in the pavers under the swing. Attachments: ![]() |

I have an arbor about 1/2 the size of your structure. I have a clematis growing on one side which doesn't do much of anything-but I have a Moonflower planted on the other side and it is wonderful! Big leaves-Big flowers at night that smell wonderful, sturdy vine that needs little training. I also have a passion flower that I have just started along a fence-it has nice med-large leaves also, and those awesome flowers. Neither will survive the winter, but they both self seed, and of course, you can save some of your seeds. |
