HERE IS A NEW POEM... AND WOULD LOVE TO READ YOURS..GARDEN GUIDES HAS SO MANY TALENTED PEOPLE THAT ARE ABLE TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES THROUGH WRITING. YOUR POEM DOES NOT HAVE TO BE LONG IT CAN BE 2 OR THREE LINES THERE ISNT ANY RIGHT OR WRONG ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ..FOLLOW YOUR HEART.. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE MANY MORE POEMS THAT EITHER JUST COME TO YOU OR LIKE SOME OF MINE ( LIKE ATTATCHMENT ) I HAD 4 WEEKS TO THINK OF A POEM ON ATTATCHMENT AND IT CAME TO ME 2 DAYS BEFORE THE MEETING. UNTIL THEN I WAS TOTAL BLANK. SO HAVE FUN AND BE CREATIVE. LEAVE COMMENTS OF WHAT YOU THINK.....OPEN TO ALL COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS......... see what you can think of...... MINE IS TITLED: ATTATCHMENT ATTACHMENT OF THE HEART SO OPEN AND SO FREE, I THOUGHT ABOUT THE THINGS I LOVED BUT NEVER THOUGHT OF ME. HOW CAN I LOVE ANYONE OR ANYTHING IF I CANNOT LOVE EVEN ME, I SEARCHED MY SOUL AND LOOKED INSIDE I NEEDED TO OPENLY SEE. I AM ATTATCHED TO ERIC AND FRIENDS MY FAMILY AND MY CATS, BUT WHAT ABOUT MATERIAL THINGS AND THE SENTIMENTAL FACTS? I FINALLY FOUND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR DEEP INSIDE MY SOUL, MATERIAL THINGS ARE NICE TO HAVE YET I AM ABLE TO LET THEM GO. I FINALLY FOUND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR WHEN I SEARCHED INSIDE MY HEART, I LOVE MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND PETS THESE ATTATCHMENTS ..I WILL NOT PART. I AM HAPPY TO REALIZE, ATTATCHMENTS CAN BE SO HAPPY OR SO SAD, I WILL DEPART WITH MATERIAL THINGS THEY ARE NICE TO HAVE,.. AND NOT SO BAD, ATTATCHMENTS OF THE HEART HAS HELPED TO BUILD MY LIFE IT'S MADE ME STRONGER AND WISER AND HELPED ME, TO DEAL WITH STRIFE. |

I went to see my lizard friend He's nowhere to be found My ears attune to nature's din He's right there on the ground. Chartreuse kin on mossy green Hidden from my view I hear him move before he's seen Watching what I will do. He spies his prey upon a stone Gobbles it up and chews Eat the bugs till they're all gone Your presence I shan't refuse. |

Okay, Here goes. The Front Porch I've always liked the front porch scene, When a neighbor might pass and smile. And on occasion, they might stop And sit, and chat a while. The porch is the place to collect my dreams. A place to sit and be still. The place I connect with the Higher Power, And contemplate Her will. A place to look out on Mother Earth. A place to caress both death and birth. A place where memories are brought to life, To give me strength to deal with strife. A place to gather with family and friends, To creat more memories..... The circle never ends. |

I gto inspired to write this on the way home from church! It's more song than poem. I see you every day at 8 While on my drive to work I wave and smile when you go past You must think I'm a jerk The blues you send Rounding the bend I'm so sentimental But I just can't help myself I'm not as continental There you go Go on by And I cry after you Oh my darling, do you remember when I promised love til the very end Well, now it seems like you're missing something dear When you go away it becomes very clear I miss your little caboose I used to see it when I was a kid But little did I know When I'd grow up I'd flip my lid Because now I don't see you too much anymore But I keep hoping that you'll be like you were before I miss your little caboose Sometimes it was blue, but mostly it was red And every time I see you A misty tear I shed Oh I miss it so much I miss your little caboose |
