What is this flower

I believe this is some kind of iris or in the oros family. I want to grow them any one know what is it called?

I rarely come into this section because I don't know anything about it, but I sure have enjoyed myself this morning. What a beautiful flower!

i think it a water iris i had a large pond in front yard got tied and fill it up but i left the iris and it still grow in frony yard it is a bright yellow

Yellow is the usual color for water iris. AKA yellow flag or water flag. That cream color is unusual for an iris, and it doesn't seem to have the typical iris petal structure. Still, I wouldn't mind having that next to my pond!

I know it is in the iris family but i also know it is not a flag iris as i have both the yellow and the blue/purple. i will see if i can find it and let you know stereoman.

It sorta looks like the Japaneese Fortune Iris. It could be in the same group.I checked and its not a Siberian Iris or Bearded Iris. I sorta looks like a orchid to me but i couldnt find a exact match.

I don't know if you are still interested but the flower is Iridaceae Dietes bicolor also known as Peacock Flower, Bicolor Iris, Evergreen Iris, Spanish Iris
