I have heard that it is great.
Don't use it where dogs can get to it though- it's poisonous to them if they eat it.

I have been using cocoa bean mulch for a couple of years. No outside pets in or near my home (always good to use as a disclaimer). I just put down a 2 inch layer. Some parts of the garden only need to be redone every other year. some parts I redo every year because I till in. it works wonders for the soil, invites lots of worms. Does a great job keeping the weeds buried. Smells pleasant. I rate it a 9. Just my opinion, but hope it helps.
