Brug Bed

These are from the roots I left in the ground over the winter. They were mulched, but I had no hope of them surviving. But here they are , and this is only a part of this bed. There are about twenty brugs in this bed, and yes, elephant ears also.

How cold does it get in your winters, John, and for how long? You've done well overwintering your colocasias too, and since we're theoretically in the same zone that gives me some hope to avoid the unpleasant chore of digging up my babies in the fall.

Steve, I just mulch with leaves. We have pretty cold weather here below 20 deg for several days at a time. I had no hope for my brugs, but I was wrong, I never worry about my ears. I have a couple that I didn't even mulch and they are great this year.
