I have a small stand of irises that my late MIL started with a single bulb. I will be dividing them next month and want to send some to my SIL in Minnesota. How can I pack them to send?? Thanks in advance for the help!

We ordered some basil off of ebay. They came in a small cardboard box with shredded newspapers. They were planted in a little pot and the pot and stem was wrapped with damp paper towels. Worked good.

Iris is a very tough plant to kill. The best way to ship is to knock all the soil off the roots, cut the leaves down to just a couple of inches. What you have left is something that looks like a bug. Throw it in a box with some paper wrapped around it and mail it. I've done this many a times and they're survived just fine.

Thanks Bman! That's what I was hoping.
