ok 1 im SOOO glad my ginger mint survived the winter (i rather like the stuff an a small pot outside in our winters only the TOUGHEST survives) sadly no pics of it

but asnywho the real reason of this post is to show yall how out of control mint canm get (yall should be wonderin why as i use pots an there all contained in there) well i have 1 pot with 2 chocolate mint an 2 orange mint plants an there gooin NUTS in that pot so yea if thats mint in a pot imagine it in the ground! yea can be pretty invasive

oh yea thats right my books say mint is an ant repellant one pot has both mint AND ants in it

yikes well i know with all the runners it usially sends out it dos a GREAT job at preventing weeds so-yea need proof? theres not a 1 non-mint in the mint pot an it has runners gooin ALL over (i think my lemon balm may be killing my catnip tho which sux sence skiddles likely nibbled on some of the catnip --local outdoor cat i KNOW i saw evidence of like an animal having ripped some off if it WAS a person id think theyd be smart enough ta grab one of my 3 garden knives that are usially sticking IN soil)

You're right. Mint can go wild, but I don't mind pulling mine. It smells heavenly.
And, no it's not keeping the ants at bay here either.
