I don't know if this is whats eating my roses but the leaves either have brown circular spots or are chewed up like crazy. I csut them back getting rid of the affected part and have been using a hot pepper spray and there is new growth but is there an easier way? |

You probably have a little tiny green worm chewing your leaves, and I'm afraid the brown spots could be black spot disease. I use systemic fertilizer on my roses, but that doesn't stop it totally. You will need a foliar spray. Check with your local garden center. |

Thanks for the info, j. Why don't you go to the Introduction section and tell us a bit about you. I'm sure everyone will be happy to say "Hi!" and get to know you. |

Jpoe-what size sprayer? Gallon? 2 gallon? Hand sprayer? I'm gonna try that. I'm not much of a rose person-I have 2 from my mother's house and one that I bought with a group of plants at an auction. All get black spot, and the worms get in em-Roses are a pain to me, but they are beautiful in the early spring! |
