I thought that this was a dead bush of some sort since it is just a few branches sticking out of the ground and then these flowers emerged. Anyone know what they are?

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks again
Kelly

You are right it is a azalea, don't know why I never know that one every yard in this town has them. In Tyler they have the famous azalea trail once a year.

Based on searches on the internet, I think it's called Northern hi-lights Azalea. I love the flowers and it is my mission to make this thing grow better! We just moved into this house this winter so everything is hurting a bit in the landscape dept.

Thanks everyone!
