Holes in water lettuce leaves !!

Hi folks !! I noticed last night that some of the newest baby water lettuce plants in my pond have got some holes nibbled in them- I've never had a problem with plant nibblers before- any idea what might be lunching on my lettuce ??

My guess would be "something for which you will soon be thankful for keeping your water lettuce population under control." Just a guess.

Awww that truly DID generate a laugh out loud Stereoman !!! I know what waterlettuce is like mid-summer. I put tons and tons of it in my compost pile every day in the summer.....
