I bought a bottle of a no-odor fish fertilizer, "Alaska Fish Fertilizer" from Wal-Mart today. It was about $7, but will probably last me 2 years . Watered the veggies with it tonight, and no smell I'll let everyone know how it works.

I've heard good things about liquid fish fertilizer. Please do keep us updated.

It's been 2 weeks since I applied it. Everything I used it on has grown very well, with lots of flowers, including the veggies. I can give another application next week. They recomend once every 3 weeks. |

I love Alaska products, and have been using gallons of the fish fertilizer for decades. I'm not sure how they can call it odorless, though... Alaska also makes fish fertilizer in a pelletized form. When I run out of the expensive jugs of liquid, I put a bunch of the dried stuff in a jug, and add water. I shake it a few times a day, and in a couple of days, I've got fish fertilizer. This stuff, is actually odorless. Try foliar feeding in the morning with the fish...WOW! |

Everything has been growing great! I haven't made an application in about a month and a half though... I was wondering how it could be billed as odorless- when used in any quantity it certainly isn't LOL! I'll have to look for the pellets- can they be worked into the soil, or do you have to dissolve in water? |

I mentioned in another thread...I get invaded by skunks, and raccoons. They dig in each container, looking for fish. I also dissolve some in water, if I run out of the more expensive gallons of fish emulsion. I love the fish products, because they give such flavor to the veggies, as opposed to using chemicals to fertilize. The results from the organics are a little slower, but you actually build the soil over time, as opposed to having chemicals break down into toxins. Look for seaweed/kelp products for trace nutrients... |

I'll have to look for them for spring planting next year, Thanks! I don't use chemicals either- neither chemical fertilizers or pesticides. My most deadly spray I use is dish soap and oil. Compost is my best friend
