The Nursery at Ty Ty seems to have many very dissatisfied customers. Evidently, they've had their name and negative comments removed from the Garden Watchdog website by threat of lawsuit. I just thought I'd warn everybody in case, like me, you tend to trust people. I stumbled upon some negative comments and did a search. I'm glad I did, because I had vaguely thought of ordering from them. If you do a search on Ty Ty Nursery ripoff, you'll find out a lot. If anyone has good experiences with them, then so much the better. But after reading about people's experiences with them, I have absolutely decided not to ever place any orders with them. Evidently, they go by other names too: Blackberry Plant Nursery African Amaryllis Bulb Nursery Apple Tree Nursery Bunch and Seedless Grape Vine Nursery Pecan Tree Nursery Tree Nursery Aaron's Bulb Farm(part & parcel of TyTy) also does business as: Aaron's Amaryllis & Canna Bulb Farm Nursery Arron's Flower, Tree, and Shrub Nursery Arron's Nursery with other listings Aaron's Bamboo Nursery Aaron's Daffodil Nursery Aaron's Leucojum, Tuberose, and Eucomis Nursery Aaron's Allium Nursery Aaron's Clivia Nursery Aaron's Agapanthus Nursery Aaron's Elephant Ear Nursery Aaron's Ariod Nursery Aaron's Iris Nursery Aaron's Ginger Lily Nursery Aaron's Hymenocallis Nursery Aaron's Crinum Lily Nursery Aaron's Banana Tree Nursery Aaron's Perennial Nursery Arron's Fruit Nursery Apple Tree Nursery Blackberry Nursery Blueberry Nursery Fig Tree Nursery Grape Vine Nursery Pecan Tree Nursery Peach Tree Nursery Persimmon Tree Nursery Plum Tree Nursery Citrus Tree Nursery Pear Tree Nursery |

I rarely buy plants from catalogues or on line, but thanks for the warning! |

Thanks for the warning. I very rarely buy online- I like to see the individual plants thet I am buying, and many of the online nurseries ship bareroot, which I seldom have luck with.

I have read bad reviews on them, I have gone by their place an purchased things from them. There plants looked great at that time, they are about a 2 hr drive from me. I've always had good luck with their plants, but there again I didn't order online, I shopped there personally. They do have a very large nursery an don't understand why they treat folks the way they have to have gotten such a bad name. Such ashame. |

I'm glad you had a good experience with them, Trudy. It seems that the complaints come from people who have ordered online from them. If they were near to me, I would probably go there to... if you can see what you're getting, and the plants look healthy, then your odds are much better. But when you order online, which I have, you really need to be able to trust the people you're dealing with. Maybe they'll clean up their act eventually and deal fairly and honestly with people. |

Maybe they ship the less-than-healthy plants to their online customers, and save the good ones for their on-site shoppers. One year I bought about $80 of ferns, hostas, flowering almonds, and a brugmansia from DirectGardening. The almonds were dead when they arrived, most of the hostas came up, and about 1/2 of the ferns The brug has done wonderfully- it's the only one that I have that comes back every spring- all the others that I have bought from reputable local nurseries fail. I'm rooting cuttings from that one this year

I had great luck with some hostas from HostasDirect. I am a collector and they had every kind you could ever want. I got some divisions and some tissue culture. They were shipped promptly and well packaged. |
