As for the listerine keeping away mosquitos. It does work. I also use the dollar store brand, cheaper. It does not however keep away the biting flies. I told a friend about it and her sister used it before a cook out. Just put it in a spray bottle and sprayed her deck area. Said they had NO mosquitos at all for their cookout. I just spray it on my skin before I go to the garden. You only smell like listerine for about 5 minutes. I have been using the beer concocsion on my plants and haven't had problems with bugs so far. |

I don't mind the smell of Listerine at all. I've been using it for so long, it just reminds me of not having bad breath. Heck of a lot better than Citronella! |

See, you should send him up to me, blink'. Not as many nasty bugs. I can tell him tales about his mom then, too. I had a nasty spider bite on my ankle that swelled up for a few days and itched like crazy. I finally put some aloe with lidocaine on it and then some hydrocortisone cream on it. The lidocaine numbed it so it would quit itching. It worked and it hasn't been bothering me. I don't know if that's something you can use on the baby, but it might help.

My husband had chiggers on his ankles before and we put clear finger nail polish on them. It smothers them. But also, don't know if it would be good to put on a baby. |
