so I am about to cry... it wasn't supposed to rain this week at all... I was going to install my gutters this coming weekend (not that I think it would have helped). we got hit pretty hard by rain... actually it is still raining outside. I just planted my plants on sunday... I don't know if they are going to survive this! Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Oh, my! Plants can surprise you, though. I hope that they don't drown. Isn't it amazing how some people get too much rain and others can't buy a drop. My neighbor is mowing his lawn. I'm covered in dust because it's so dry, and sneezing my head off. I had to come in!!! Do let us know how your plants do after the deluge. |

Oh, that is terrible. Did you check soil for proper drainage before planting them? I would thro in newspapers to soak up that water, but if that is what will happen each time it rains, then that spot is not draining properly and the plants may eventually die from root rot ![]() I would kill for some rain right now 5 weeks NOT a drop of rain in sight |

If that pic was taken when it was still raining, then the water collecting may not be a problem- see how long AFTER the rain it takes to drain. If drainage is poor and your roots rot, and your soil is clay, then perhaps a 1-2' raised bed so you can establish better drainage in the planted soil?? |

Also i got my first tomato!!! yay! |
