I was going to get a truck load of mushroom soil to put in a new garden that is shady and very moist in the spring. Someone told me it's a waste of money to use it as the nuitrents are depleted. I will need to use regular mulch when I get it planted. Should I just plant and mulch or use the soil first? |

I just saw this. Mushroom compost is GREAT!!!!!!! Get it!!! It has plenty of nutrients for garden plants and vegetables. It doesn't have enough for mushrooms- mushroom growers have to get new compost for every new crop, and their "used" stuff is just wonderful for us gardeners

Just saw this...I used mushroom compost in our new raised beds two years ago and it's been wonderful! The veggies all love it! I think all the other veggies that don't get to be in the raised beds are jealous!

Although, it is pricey, I paid $370.00 for a dump truck load. But it is well worth it. John |
