So far below is as far as I have gotten on my garden (pulled a muscle in my leg trying to dig it up last weekend, will finish this weekend) anywho... I was wanting to grow some veggies, but have no clue where to start as the only thing I have ever grown is an aloe vera plant in a pot.

I live in Texas so the weather is kinda hot during the summer months. So any suggestions on some easy things to grow? I was thinking bell peppers but I didn't want to buy anything until I got some kind of input.

THANK YOU!

Bell peppers should work and TOMATOES! Now is a great time for them.

Bell peppers, hot peppers, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, eggplant, okra-that's what's going on in mine. In setting the tomato plants, it's kind of late here ( and getting hotter), so plant a 'heat tolerant' variety, like heat wave. Squash, eggplant and okra thrive on HOT weather. Cukes get kind of wilted and bitter during the hottest part of our summer. Remember in your planting that the plant is going to get big, so space correctly!
