Is there such a thing as a solar heater for a greenhouse that is not warm in the winter? |

well solar panels can run electric heaters. but the tax breaks for having solar panels can be taken away if you use them for yardstuff instead of home use. |

In the winter time I get large (up to 55 gal) drums paint them black and fill them with water. I then place them near the glass and around my plants. During the day they absorb heat and at night they release it. It only helps for a few degrees and helps protect my plants from the cold winter glass. I also heat my greenhouse in the winter with propane so anything I can do to keep the cost down helps. |

Smart move, Liatris! If you've already got barrels full of water absorbing heat all day, those propane heaters have a lot LESS work to do to keep things warm at night. |
