Well I'll be ding-danged flipped! That is the very plant that I wanted ID'ed that was in my herb jar that I put a pic of in Container Gardening. I knew that I could not take a close-up pic worth a hoot, so I was going to get a sprig and scan it. I never did!
Thanks loads. The family will be thrilled to know that the name of it isn't "Aunt Winnie's Moss."

Here it is. I have it in a lot of places. It likes the shade here. It won't grow in our hot sun too well, but it can really take off in shady areas. It blooms this time of year only, but it is a precious bloom when it does. It just blankets the area in yellow and green.

Wow! That is funny! My friend had some pipe fences and containers and areas on the ground covered with this plant. The pipe fences had holes in the posts and she put dirt in them and planted this plant. Some are in the sun but I think mostly it is shady. I don't know I kinda like the name "Aunt Winnie's Moss"

I only had it in a container to grow a little while I decide where to put it. But I am notorious for putting id's in the wrong place!

Be very careful with where you plant this sedum. I have it growing in my yard and it is very invasive and hard to get rid of.

thats for sure if you pull it and toss on the ground it will root and grow. Toss in the compost it will grow

Hey Witt, I've got this plant too, and I thought the name was "Grandma Laura's moss" At least I know the 'real' name of it now, though I'll probably always call it Grandma Laura's moss! LOL
I have thrown it down everywhere in my yard there is a bare space, gosh, there I go with the invasive stuff again, and didn't even know it was considered invasive.

I have that sedum in my garden also. It does go everywhere but is easily pulled. Just be careful where you toss it, as stated above it will root easily!
