I have not yet seen a post about neighbor "pests" -- so here we go, lol

Truthfully, my neighbors are great! The only issue I have with the one to the right is that she doesn't do a single thing with her yard -- at all. Ever.

Now, as far as aesthetics, it really isn't too big a deal because we live in the mountains and most people opt for as natural as possible. All that she really has are large trees and a few large rhododendrons. The issue is -- her idea of natural includes not picking up any leaves and we get a LOT of leaves up here.

I have spent many, painstaking hours trying to get the leaves out of our yard -- but they just blow right back in from her yard... so, maybe I should go and bag up a few of hers just to kep them from spreading so much. I'm working on the other neighbor's yard as well -- because they are retired and won't be back until mid-June and they really don't have the physical capability to deal with the massive amounts of leaves. Last year they paid someone, but I think they said it was $150-$200 and I'd like to save them that money this year.

The other neighbor though -- she's a younger lady and has told me a million times how much she loves my yard but how she is just too pre-occupied to do a thing with hers... so, it is over stepping my boundaries to take in upon myself and rake up some of her leaves and deadhead her rhodies?

I would love some free leaves! Chop them up with a lawn mower right on the lawn to add nutrients and improve the soil. Spread the chopped up leaves on your beds or add them to the compost. There's nothing better.

Now what about neighbors who never pull weeds?

I'd let the mower chop them... but we have no mower... no one here does because we don't have "lawns", lol -- totally weird concept to me coming from rural Orlando, Florida... but that's the way it is here...

I have plenty of leaves in my compost pile at the moment, so I'm thinking that bagging them up is the best way to be rid of them for now... and nooo, she doesn't pull a single weed!!

Neither does my neighbor. I love them and sadly they're moving back home to Texas. Now that their house is on the market, they've mulched the backyard garden perimeter, so maybe less weeds for me now. But they get my violets so I can't complain.
