Good Morning.... I just fell across this site.........I am interested in making a fresh herbal wreath. Does anybody know anything about these? I saw a pic in a magazine.....and it looked really simple. Unfortunately, I cant find it. I have looked online, and they look waaay more extensive than I want to get into. I was thinking about one with maybe, 4 or 5 different kinds of herbs in it. Thanks so much for any help.

I did find the picture. It was a wire wreath frame, covered w/spagnum moss and dirt. Then they poked holes in it and planted the herb. I was thinking of doing, sweet basil, cinnamon basil, chives, lemon grass, rosemary, and thyme. I want to keep it small. Thanks for your interest

I believe rosemary can grow pretty large. Mine is 3 times the size it was when I bought it. I've also seen pics of large rosemary bushes.

Wreaths in general are very easy to create. I find the easiest base to use is a grapevine wreath...its easier to insert items into the criss cross of the vines. The things I've read about living wreaths usually call for adding spagnum (sp)moss. Rosemary makes a great addition because it stays fresh when damp. I always add rosemary to my general wreaths. Now that I think about it, I always add rosemary to everything that will hold it.
