Squirrel Snack Stations!!

Well... I have made my repellant concoction, but have yet to use it. I thought what I would try first is winning the buggers over by means of distraction. Today I bought 2 ceramic water drain dishes (the kind that just go under regular post) and I made stone pedastals to raise them just barely off the ground. I have them filled up with peanuts, sunflower seeds, and corn kernals. We've got rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks. I'm hoping this will give them something more appealing to eat than my garden... but we shall see. Also -- I'm really hoping this doesn't start to attract ants.  Here they are: Attachments:    |

I love your feeding stations! How cute. I don't know if you'll just attract more varmints or if it will pacify them. Do let us know how it works out! As far as ants, hmmm. I'm having my own problem with them. I should post my question. |
