Anyone have these? I bought one earlier in the year and it is struggling. I think I watered it too much along with the other plants. Now I am wondering if it would do well in one of those African Violet bowls? I did transplant it into a regular pot and am watching to see if it recovers from TOO much care. Linda B |

struggling in what way? losing leaves? I hardly water my succulents. They do need some sun & the bottom leaves do die out, fall off, or get smashed by the new leaves. Anyway, this is my experience with succulents. |

Bought my first kalanchoe several weeks ago YG. It is a kalanchoe blossfeldiana "Calandiva" & it is doing well so far. A lovely plant. The care label says it likes a well lit position, keep moderately moist & to fertilise from time to time during growth periods (which would be now for your plant). Suitable indoors or for use in the garden or balcony in a protected position. Is this of some assistance for your plant?? Don't exactly know what an african violet bowl is, unfortunately, so can't give you any advice about their suitability, I'm afraid, sorry. |

The African Violet pot is the pot inside a pot. You put the water in the bottom pot and the planted pot sits inside. The water seeps through the planted pot and keeps the roots lightly moist. I think I have over watered it. I do see new leaves so will let you know how it fares. LB |

Ah, the african violet bowl is similar to the water-saver pots we have YG. My kalanchoe is in one but it is fairly deep & I give it more from the top when the soil mix is dry on the surface. Seems to be happy with that .
