Update: i visited mom a couple days ago, found out she swiped a few seeds from me and planted 'em directly in ground. The seedling (one grew) is about 3 inches and has 2 leaves! sooooo cool!didn't have a camera couldn't take picture. i'll ask my brother if he can take a picture for us.

Rashell, this is one of the seedlings from the Joshua Tree seeds you sent to me. It is about 5 inches tall, and doing well. John Attachments: ![]() |

Hey Rashell, Did you get my PM? I am struggling with four seeds left of ten I planted a month or two ago. Used cactus mix and perlite and hoping at least one may pull through. Out of the 4 left, only one looks or may be okay but not sure? Suggestions? |

Yep got your PM just replied to it before I saw this! My trees are growing in clay and rock soil . I hardly water the trees. So far I've only experimented with seeds, don't know much about growing them yet! I got as far as putting the seeds in a bowl of water like bugnut (see his pic.). Mine dried up because I stopped watering them when we moved. Anway don't worry, together we will figure it out. I'll see what I can find out on line. I insist at least one seedling better grow lol!

Thanks Rashell. Well, the one plantlet is still holding on, the other three do not look well at all.

not much info. out there but i did read temp. has to be over 60, can't move roots too much. bright shady spot until seedling is strong/tall I posted a pic. of the Yucca moth larvae I found in my pod and posted info. about how the Yucca moth is the only moth which can pollinate the tree. Anyway, i've been thinking a lot about how will your trees get pollinated if this is the only moth to pollinate the tree? ![]() Edit: mom started her seed in sunny location, in ground, it's still doing great...soooooo maybe if you grow yours in a pot it should be in a "bright shady spot". |

Okay someone will have to ID the flowers so you can tell how tall mom's seedlings have grown. I finally took the pics myself yesterday.
