ok well my moms gonna start irkin me agin soon AND fast --i have 2 pots at her house 1 of which (the big 18 inch one) i baught with MY birthday muney the little ive used sence day 1 an its used fer whatever returns from last year an yea ive good lineage in that soil (chocolate mint thats 4 years old an i still got a new chocolatre mint plant this last year i think ill get another new one) i plan on getting more of the big pots this year BUT my moms been really clamin sence last year 6-8 different herbs in the pots look like there are "weeds" in it arrgghh my big one last year had (if i can remember everything) bannanna mint chocolate mint cinnamon basil tai basil pineapple sage catnip lemon verabena (2 of that) an yea most of them i could id right away as it was my 2nd or 3rd year with some 1st with outhers an 4th with chocolate mint if you ask ME id say they look like what they are a collection of herbs growin together in the same pot an dooin fine too (had stevia didnt survive it only likes 1 spot an thats my moms flower pot that i got ta put herbs in once) so shees tryin ta talk me into 1 pot=1 plant ok what of my 18" pot?? i can EASILY get like 10 plants in there (i wanted huge i choose right AND its still portable to me) dos this mean shell willingly buy me 10 more little pots?? an we can over-winter ALL of them in the kitchen?? (2 cats an not enough room) or?? i mean i like my herbs how i do them an i insist on some mint to reduce weeds she hasnt complained cause its workin but even then its allmost like she dosent like that herbs are my priority (medicinal an culinary if i feel i NEED to nibble on my pineapple sage i will straight off the plant--i guess that groses her out too cause flies land on my plants when im not lookin but i havent had issues yet an washin really COULD requce the goodness of the plants so yea) tho ive allways had veges an now in my 5th year with herbs im startin ta get into flowers (id wager more fer her) so i guess cides needin ta vent an warn yall if i seem uber annoyied in the comin weeks (i HOPE tomorra we can go to my fave place an heack maby i can buy myself afew pots too --if we could use the ground id like it but shees a putty cat soo afraid--) im corious if changing something thats worked really well fer 4 years is REALLY worth it?? im shure atleast afew have more basic experience then me an im pretty shure my soils still good in all my pots so its not like THATS the reason (oh an i KNOW shell bascally pick her plants then leaver the rest to me an when harvest time comes shell gel all the benefits --im thinkin ill get a pot fer peppers fer me called fooledja jalapenos im a wuss an i eat them allmost literally straight off the plant!!) ok ill stop fer now tho im kinda irked |

ok update we have my little pot (usially used fer leftovers from last year) with some mint sprigs so trhey root an spread like mad an 3 pineapple sage plants --i REQUIRE some mint with runners in all pots to prevent weeds an we use the same soil year to year im debating with my mom multiple different basils or cukes in MY big pot she seems ok with bee balm lemon balm an catnip in 1 pot afew tymes in another an some oreganos i think in another we were at walmart an i had cinnamon basil RIGHT next to sweet basil i guess there not close enough fer her tho the balms an nip seem fine together fer her an the one dosent flower another dos an the 3rd the flowers are HUGE compairing so im screwed but i should get more pots out of it edit-- oh yea i wanted ta get some borage in one too pretty flowers |
