I have 6 private messages that are continually showing as new messages in my inbox no matter how many times and how many different computers I view them. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Since this has been going on since February, I'm thinking we might want to add it to the Quirks sticky in FAQs until/if it ever gets fixed. We've had so many people ask about it.

Hi all,

Just to provide some additional info on this - I can delete them just fine. It's just that when I leave them in my inbox, they always show as new.

Something that I had noticed before but didn't think relevant since they were all new - the subjects for each of these messages are bold.

So, to refine the problem description, all messages with a bold subject are being reported to me as new messages in my profile page.

I hope this helps. Others can chime in and confirm that they see the same behavior.

Regards,
Robert

Just select the ones that are bold and delete them. That will take you back to zero in the message alert box on your profile. It works for me.

You have a great day and happy gardening. BillMitchell

If I deleted all messages that are in bold then I will lose the messages I want to keep.

Bugnut, I hven't tried this but just a thought. If you move the ones you want to keep into a save folder, would they still show up as new posts?

Now that sounds like something worth trying. Going to do that right now.
