My husband just bought me two bags of top soil to start up the garden in the front yard. The question I had before I put it down was that if I had a neutral pH top soil, will it eventually become the same pH as the ground underneath it? I would have to get the soil tested, but in my area I know that it tends to be in the acidic range. |

Since you would need to mix the topsoil with your existing soil it would be the same Ph as your soil. I have no idea how to change the Ph of soil. |

I guess I'll have to get some lime this week, then, and mix it in there. These beds aren't very big, so I shouldn't need all that much. |
