I've tried the boiling water, trying to be Earth friendly, I've tried the Roundup spray on, but that doesn't work well either. Or does it need to be reapplied multiple times?? Anyone have a remedy? Trying to dig between the stones just loosens them - getting frustrated

Did you try vinegar? I have heard that works. |

I've done the vinegar. The weeds turn brown and die. It could be unsightly and then if there are any seeds in the soil, they'll pop up later. |

Is this an established walkway or patio? If it were possible to lift them, spray round up, put down thick newspaper or grass cloth, remulch? and then relay your flagstone. If you cannot lift the stones, then any vinegar will do the trick. You might also try the preen product that keeps seeds from germinating in that area. Good luck and tidy gardening. LB |

How about the little flamethrower thingy from the other WEEDS thread? I think a blowtorch would work well too

LB I have tried the 'fertilizer/weed preventer every year and I hope it is at least fertilizing, because I can't tell it's doing anything to prevent weeds!
