I was in the store today and say a product named Ferti-Lome Over The Top Grass and Weed Killer that is supposed to be ok for use in hard to care for areas. I have an iris bed that also is bordered by some daylilies and in the middle of that that has come up a large anount of grass (quackgrass I think!) Think this product is safe with iris, but not sure about the daylilies. Anyone ever tried it? |

Never tried it. But it's hard to kill daylillies... |

I looked for a dealer close to me and the closest is almost 100 miles west of me. Guess I'll keep the weeds awhile longer. |

There are two types of Over The Top. Over The Top and Over The Top II. Over the top II contains Poast and can be used in a vegetable garden. It is extremely important to use Spreader Sticker with Over The Top. Clients have reported it works very, very well when used with Spreader Sticker. It is rather hard to find now in fall of 2009. Over The Top will be out again in the spring of 2010 with a new label. There have been reports of some problems of leaf discoloration with some varieties of hosta and daylilies. I advise testing on small areas before spraying on your entire garden. I am not sure if the select hosta and daylily problems are with both Over The Top and Over The Top II. If you need, let me know and I will try to find out. Hope this has helped. Thanks, Gemma
