Hi,

I bought a beautiful lavender plant just a few weeks ago, planted it in a large hanging basket, and it died. Now all I have is a clump of dead lavender that smels good. I had it in the sun, did not over water it, used good potting mix. Does lavender like a more sandy potting mix, like one uses for cactus?

I've never had any luck with Lavender, it always dies on me too. Probably because I'm 8 ft above sea level with poor drainage

I haven't tried lavender in a container, but I do know that they like good drainage! They sure don't like our high humidity here.

I don't know, but I would not have thought to put lavender in a hanging basket...I would think it would dry out too quickly.
