I have a question for anyone that knows *lol
I was called, a friend has about 7or more, 32-gallon garbage cans worth of pigeon pooh.
It was in the store fronts awning that had a floor/bottom, the bird lived there all this time. Free for the grabbing. Just in case...I have a wagon full but wasn't sure if it was worthy of my time and efforts to get and use.
I am strictly weed free in my beds and I strictly organic grow everything.
I grow every rotation group and lots of it.
Do you think it is still usable, some of it can be up to 9years old.
Which veggie will use the nutrients if you think any are left?

Thank you for any replies

This is weird- I know I had posted a reply to this...
Anyway, I wouldn't use it. Pigeon poo can harbor many nasty virus's and bacteria.
I remember watch "Dirty Jobs" once and they were cleaning pigeon poo off of buildings. They were wearing those disposable suits, respirators, and such. They put all the droppings into doubled garbage bags and hauled it off. They then sprayed the buildings with some sort of disinfectants.

You did, Aurora, in that other thread.

I think I'd stay away from anything to do with wild bird droppings. Birds seem to be prone to diseases. I guess if it's been up there for years the bacteria's dead. At the very least, wear a mask when you handle it.

There is a type of cancer that people have contracted from pigeon poo. A friend of ours did. He was a handyman and worked a lot on roofs for businesses AC units. There were always pigeon poo around. Doctors say not to mess around with that stuff. The dust from it is pretty lethal. Wish I could have given you good news about the stuff.

I do know that pigeon poo can harbor not only normal pidgeon GI bacteria, but pathogenic parasites capable of causing a myriad of diseases. I would stay far away from that diseased poo.
