Hey do any of you have a hand plow? If so what all do you use it for. I am refering to the one with the large wheel in the front and it has a couple attachements, a forked twine, and a row plow attachment and a middle buster for planting seeds.
My grandfather had one, so I thought I needed one too. My wife gave me it for my birthday.

No, I don't, but I've seen them. I just plow by hand with my trusty trowel.

Most home gardeners don't need one. If you own a farm, it is a necessity.

My neighbor has a really old one. It's so much fun to see it used!

It's really not that hard to use one- Jay had tilled the area before using it to form the rows. I really liked it

It works really good to open the rows for planting seeds, and with the twine attachment it helps to cut down on the amount of hoeing I was doing inbetween the rows.

I have one of those that's about 100 years old. It's pretty weather beaten, but it works like a charm still. I had to try it out, but it's basically in retirement now. Is yours new? I can remember my grandmother going up and down the rows with the old one here when I was a kid and she lived til she was 95 so it didn't hurt her a bit.

Awesome gift! Congrats!
