I just joined and am looking forward to my time spent here. I grow roswes here in Albuquerque and currently have 42 in my yard and have evey shape and size. One on my favorites is the Queen Elizabeth but, I've never seen or smelled a rose I don't like or want for that matter. I also Have 4 flowers beds and numerous othe planters on our 1/3 of an acre. My boss (wife) of 36 years wanted an ENGLISH Cottage Garden and that by gosh is what she has. My yard is zeroscaped with my roses and other plants set among the rocks. My yard is about to explode in color and we can hardly wait. I love the spring but at close to 60 the work is wearing me out but it is worth every beautiful bloom. 20+ years in the USAF a teacher, grand father and a gardener and still taking orders from my BOSS what else could a man want..........ANOTHER ROSE!!!!!!! JESSE FORGOT GOING TO PUT 10 IN OUR COURTYARD TOOO.

My, Jesse, sounds like you have quite an extensive background. Can't wait for you to find the roses section and start posting some pics. I don't do too well here with my roses, but everyone else around me seems to have no problems.
I hope to see more of your around the site.

Jesse do post pictures of those roses. Here in SC they are so hard to grow, I finally took out the 7 I had. Now I have Knock-outs and I love them.

Welcome to GG from WI, jesse! My favorite rose variety is also the Queen Elizabeth, I picked it out when I was only 7 for the rose garden at our home. Thanks for joining us, please feel free to dig 'round the site, and get us some pictures whenever you can... Never been able to grow roses myself, but love to see other's rose gardens!
